What’s always on your social media timeline? Don’t try to deny that you don’t have at least one meme account, food account, or celebrity account posting once you refresh your Instagram feed. I, for one, start my day salivating to 1-minute long cooking videos.

But, what if I told you that there are numerous personal finance bloggers who share their tips in saving up their money and budgeting for a stable future (in this world of economic uncertainty).

Marcus Keong

I first found Marcus Keong’s account through a post where he explained the stages of your emergency fund that start from Stage 1 – RM1,000 to Stage 5 – 12 months expenses. Even without having said amount of money, it helped me understand how much I can expect to live off a certain amount of savings.

His posts vary from personal finance advice to motivational and personal growth posts. The information is presented in vivid graphics that make you WANT to learn more about your finance. Even though he mostly caters to people considering a passive income through investments, he has plenty of tips for the student who will soon become a working adult.

Yi Xuan Chin, is the blogger of “No Money Lah” where he guides young adults in their first financial steps into adulthood. As a fellow youth, his videos and graphics won’t get you bored with the confusing jargons and keep your attention on the best strategies in personal finance.

Who knew you could learn about financial independence through social media? He’s even on TikTok for those who want some knowledge in between all those memes or dance videos.

Surayaror

Suraya Zainudin is a Malaysian woman who shares honest opinions about real financial situations. As the blogger of “Ringgit Oh Ringgit”, she guides fellow Malaysians who seek saving strategies without giving up the joyful things in life.

Besides her informative blog posts, she also features in webinars for those who prefer that video interaction.

Rockbottom_financialjourney

Sometimes looking up to successful financial advisors can be scary. So, why not check out the real documentation of someone who started from the rock bottom? The realistic financial journey and motivational quotes could never hit you harder.

Besides sharing their monthly progress, they also post simple infographics for your growth in financial literacy.

So, those are the ones that I follow. Let us know if there are any personal finance bloggers that you follow, regardless if they’re on Instagram or any other social media platform. Sharing is caring!
