The most recent film of King Kong versus Godzilla that was released back on 24th March 2021 in cinema during the CMCO period. It was a film where not only young children are interested to watch, but young adults, working adults, and even those of middle-aged individuals. Kong and his protectors undertake a perilous journey to find his true home as Kong was living in a digital-made forest. Along for the ride, a little orphaned girl named Jia has unique and powerful bond with the mighty beast where they can understand each other to communicate with one another. However, they soon find themselves in the path of an enraged Godzilla that once used saved humanity, as he cuts a swath of destruction across the globe.
Godzilla senses King Kong, who has been enjoying life on Skull Island as a threat to domination. Ilene Andrews and Jia who understands and caught the motive firsthand, works overtime to protect Kong from the threat of Godzilla. Everything then changes when they were approached by Nathan Lind, who is tasked by Apex Cybernatics, a scientific research center to take Kong from Skull Island to Hollow Earth in a bid to obtain its power source and defeat Godzilla.
The initial confrontation between the two titans – King Kong and Godzilla were then instigated by unseen forces such that this is the only beginning of the mystery that lies deep within the core of the planet. But soon, both titans join forces to defeat a robotic Godzilla that is controlled by one of the representatives at Apex Cybernatics, which then ended up losing his mind.
In this whole film, the most interesting aspect would involve Jia and her budding friendship with King Kong, who trusts her more than anyone else. Their relationship is endearing and lovely, providing the audience with a thoughtful connection between her and one of the creatures at the center of the movie.
With that being said, this film also set up the primary conflict as being a very human one, with the Titans’ involvement a mixture of instinct and influence. It poses the question of who are the real monsters, whether is the titans or the human?
