The semester 3 and 5 students of Diploma in Fashion Design were seen recently presenting their final projects in a mini fashion show at the Fashion Arena on the 4th March 2022.
The project was headed by Lecturer, Tan Yee Teeng under the Pattern Making courses. Students were tasked to design, pattern-cut, source fabrics and construct a dress (semester 3) and a 2-piece suit jacket (semester 5).
Organized and run entirely by the students, the 1-hour show was vibrant and upbeat, with the academic team in the audience. It was certainly an exciting moment for the students. For some, it was their first taste in experiencing a live fashion show as the post-pandemic normalcy slowly returns to the higher education sector.
Louise Yee, Head of Program for Diploma in Fashion Design shared that “2022 will certainly be an exciting year for the program. This mini fashion show is a warm-up as we nurture the student’s enthusiasm with the return of the 8th annual INTICHANGE Fashion show, live this year”.
