The talk basically covered the key aspects of climate change due to excessive use of chemical fertilizer, CO2 emissions, deforestation and industrialization. The major contributor of climate change comes from Developed Nations rather than underdeveloped nations. So, the rich nations must allocate more funds to fix the damage created by themselves rather than expecting the poor nations to foot the costs of repairing negative externalities.
Climate change as well as environment damage requires holistic measures from every nations globally. The developed and high tech nations must guide the less developed and poorly equipped nations to combat this crisis. Globally, plastic wastage, fossil fuel burning and deforestation must be minimized as soon as possible. If not, we may hit growth target but not a better quality of life. As such, private sector, public sector and corporate bodies must work as a team to fix the damage. The talk ended with policy recommendations to minimize the environment damage.
