‘Art should be something that liberates your soul, provokes the imagination and encourage people to go further’ – Keith Haring.

After a long hiatus due to the pandemic, the students of INTI Center of Art & Design (ICAD) were welcomed back to be able to practice art in an open-studio environment and the Foundation of Design (CFDE) brings you its cross disciplinary practice activity entitled Creative Archive – a creative collaboration that explores a range of mediums, encourage self and group investigation and embark on a creative discovery.

Undertaking the theme “World Peace” in a response to the war between Ukraine and Russia, students were gathered into a series of brainstorm and creative exploratory. They harnessed the idea of “WEARING THE MESSAGE” and while working their way through this activity; the students were to design a set of upcycled outfit in a group to communicate a message that liberates soul, provoke the imagination and encourage people to go further focusing on SOCIAL MOVEMENT in today’s world.

Kickstarting the process, students worked together in gathering and understanding the objective of the activity as well as the aim of the theme. They presented their sketches and inspiration as they followed suit in numerous trials and experimentations to achieve a desired outcome.

Students having fun during the project

After a week’s long journey of exploring, experimenting and learning with joy the students proudly shared their final outcomes in a fashion walk on Friday, 22nd January at the Mezzanine floor, Block B. It was a joyous outro for the students as they proudly strode the aisle of their fellow lecturers and students to showcase their support for world peace in a colorful manner. The activity ended on a high note of clapping and cheers.
