The School of Pre-University Studies hosted its first “Meet and Greet Day” for the year on Wednesday, 13 July with the theme #PreUPJParty.
A casual event organized with the aim to foster interaction and build bond amongst the faculty members and students. It was a great opportunity for students to meet and engage in person with their fellow course mates and lecturers through series of spectacular activities including tele-match, best dressed award along with musical performances.
Final semester students, Ivan Khor Yao Wen (CFIT) and Rachel Koh Jing Shan (CFAI) were the host and certainly rocked the event with their enthusiasm and spontaneous jokes. Live performances from Chan Shao Xuan (UH) singing his own composition “Different Ways” (which can also be found on Spotify under “notseanchan” account), “I Love You So” by Ham Min Young (CFSI), Arwen Japri (SNHU), Ianna Tan (AUP) and “As It Was” by the Head of Programme, Mr. Lee Wee Xian was astonishing!
Student ambassadors from the Swinburne University of Technology and University of Hertfordshire were also present to personally share their experience on the journey embarked along the transition from tertiary to undergraduate studies.
It was certainly a day to treasure and cherish with all the fun and laughter shared after years of not being able to attend social gatherings especially for Semester 1 students since it’s their first on campus student experience.
Lastly, a big thanks to the organizing committee, Hoh Chee Meng (CFAI), Reanne Judith (CFAI), Huang Jiahui (CFAI), Poh Eng Nee (CFAI), Lim Chi Yuen (CFIT), Lee Wei Xin (CFIT), Goh Guang Wei (CFIT), Sarrveswary (CFB) and Rania Aishah (CFB) along with guidance and supervision of lecturers namely Dr. Ley Hood Hong, Mr. Muhammad Faizul, Ms. Angeline Tan and Ms. Krystle Rajkumar for successfully planning and executing the event, despite being their first experience on board.
