The Pre-U society mobilized a team to organize a welcoming party on 22nd July 2022 to offer its’ club members an opportunity to unwind after the mid-year exams.
The gathering was also served as an opportunity for members to socialise, mingle, and get to know one another better. At the same time, the organizing committee wanted to give its members, especially newcomers, the chance to explore the campus grounds during the games session.
The welcoming party saw a turnout of 86 pax, including committees, which was quite encouraging to say the least. It was officiated by Mr. Dinash Kandasamy, Head of the Centre of Excellence for Pre-University Studies (CEPS) followed by a speech from the Club President.
Subsequently, the attendees dispersed for dinner of Domino’s pizza and snacking as they mingle with one another. After dinner, the committees gathered the members for a briefing prior to the interesting games such as ‘UNO Perfecto’, ‘Build a Bridge’, ‘The Conveyer Belt’, and ‘Who Wants to be A Millionaire?’ and a few more.
The members had to visit as many stations as possible in order to collect ‘fake’ currencies, and the team with the most currency accumulated won the game. Once the games session rounded up, the winners were called out to receive their prizes along with a few of the ‘lucky’ members who won the lucky draw. The event ended on a high note and the members left feeling relaxed, having thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
