A group of 7 lecturers and 28 students from the Faculty of Data Science and Information Technology (FDSIT), INTI International University attended Alibaba Cloud Day KL Summit 2022 at the Kuala Lumpur Conventional Centre (KLCC) on 25th August.
There were several events in the one-day summit such as the high-end technologies devices exhibition from various companies that deploy the usage of the cloud technologies as well as the interesting talks about current technologies pertaining to the cloud platform and their trends from various speakers of various industries and organizations. The event became more enlightening as there were talks about the carbon-free campaign pertaining to the technologies which are very useful in avoiding the potential global warming issue.
During the event, the Minister of Science and Technology (MOSTI), YB Dato’ Sri Adham Baba, delivered an opening speech as a Guest of Honor emphasising the importance of good digital technology infrastructure that should be in place, in particular the cloud technology, as well as the importance of being able to get used to the technologies dynamically and efficiently (green).
The occasion saw two big sessions: the plenary and the breakout sessions, held in the morning and afternoon, respectively. Both sessions were attended by many established and well-known organisations apart from Alibaba, such as Genting Malaysia Berhad, entomo Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad, Ant Group, Lazada, China Mobile International Malaysia, Fortinet Malaysia, Neo4j, MongoDB, Elastic, PayNet and many more.
The event provided excellent exposure to the INTI International University students and lecturers who participated during the event, gaining hands-on experience and knowledge in one of the demanding technologies that are always associated with economic growth and personal well-being.
