It was an Employer Project completed by 29 UH Degree students (Business Admin and Accounting & Finance) under the leadership of lecturer Ms. Jaccie Koh in collaboration with Majlis Perkhidmatan Masyarakat Sabah. This is the first Employer Project (community service project) with the government.

This project “Care & Share: Food for Children”/ “Kasih & Kongsi” Program untuk Kanak-kanak had two main objectives:

  • To provide nutritional food support to the children
  • Collaborations for community support

The idea behind the project was to support children aged below 18, Malaysians who are living in Sabah and whose total household income is under the poverty line in 2019, which is below RM2,537.

Students’ project kick started in April and ended in July with a total of 15 online and physical activities conducted by the students, including organizing arts competitions, online games competitions, collecting e-waste, selling cookies and beverages in campus, collecting food donations and so on.

The project was supported by Ms. Joeanne Lee, Executive Secretary Majlis Perkhidmatan Masyarakat Sabah. In total RM7,000 was donated to Majlis Perkhidmatan Masyarakat Sabah to support this programme during the project final presentation and closing on 26 July.

Certificates were awarded to INTI College Sabah both lecturers and students for the excellent work and support for the society. The teams’ effort was recognized by Tuan Jais Asri, Pengarah Jabatan Perkhidmatan Kebajikan Am cum Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Pengurusan Majlis Perkhidmatan Masyarakat Sabah.
