A fresh new year with a brand-new start! It is the time of the year again for the numerous clubs and societies to begin the ‘hunt’ for new blood to grow and develop the team.
INTIMA plays a vital role in providing affiliates with a platform in their search for new recruits. The student government body organized a recruitment drive between 16th – 20th January 2023 and offered the numerous clubs and societies the avenue to reach out to fellow INTIans and create awareness whilst recruiting new members. The triannual event received an overwhelming response from the clubs and societies vying for a booth spot. The participating clubs included Debate Club, INTI Dance Club, Christian Fellowship, C.O.M.M Society, Badminton Club, Japanese ACG Club, the 24th Festive Drums Club, Pre-U Society, Bursa Young Investor Club, Leo Club, Nerf Club and Indian Cultural Society, covering academic, special interest and sports affiliates.
Each club and society had their own unique approach to target potential candidates. Several booths were set-up to impress; Nerf Club had an array of Nerf guns on display for visitors to the booth to try whilst INTI Dance Club members did a ‘lit’ routine which got the attention of those passing through level 5 foyer. On the other hand, Debate Club found an interesting approach to pique the interest of passerby with a topic for an on-the-spot debate session.
Although it was a low period with sparse traffic on Campus throughout the duration of the recruitment, some of the Clubs managed to secure a good number of interests and even new enrolments to grow the team.
