The INTI College Sabah (ICS) Charity Club arranged a visit to Rumah Bukit Harapan on 4th of February with 3 staff and 16 students in attendance. During the Chinese New Year celebration, committee members, students, parents, staff, and ex-INTI colleagues generously donated RM500, used to purchase an assortment of healthy food items such as biscuits, Milo sachets, and Quaker Oat sachets, as recommended by Seselia, the person in charge of Rumah Bukit Harapan, for the residents’ consumption. These items were thoughtfully packed into small bags, and some story books were also kindly donated to the residents.
One of the members of the Charity Club, Wong Jia En, a student from the BA (Hons) Business Administration at the University of Hertfordshire, thoughtfully drew a lion picture for the residents to colour. The staff and students then took the opportunity to help the residents in colouring the lion picture using crayons. The visit concluded with a heart-warming Chinese New Year song, and everyone enjoyed themselves immensely.
