The April 2023 Orientation Programme was jointly organized by the Student Services Department and INTIMA at INTI College Sabah (ICS) on 31 April at the College premises. 

An introduction to the College session was the first part of the programme. All the new students were welcomed by the ICS Chief Executive Ms. Roselyn Chua; the Academic Dean, Dr. Athanasia Nointin (AN); Registrar, Ms. Satinah Sinoh; ICS academic, administrative staff, and INTIMA. They were informed about the various services and departments available at ICS.

The administrative departments were the Office of Admissions and Records, Scholarship and Study Loan Office, Finance Office, Exam Office, Library, Student Services Department, and IT Services. These departments form an integral part of the College’s administration to assist students during their studies.

The students were briefed on Canvas, an online learning management system, by their lecturer, Ms. Bernadette James. They met their Head of Programme, Ms. Bryenda Jaisi, and the Academic Dean, Dr. AN, in the breakout session. During this time, they were briefed further on the academic services available at the Business Faculty. After that, they had lunch at the Student Lounge before moving on to the second part of the Orientation programme. 

After the morning session, the orientation continued with the 28th INTIMA activities. The INTIMA president, Azmeer Zaini, introduced all the INTIMA members and the various Clubs to the new students. They were briefed by all the clubs’ representatives. Some had signed up for the clubs that suited their interests. A campus tour was guided by the INTIMA around the Main Building and the Faculty.

The next following activities were fun and engaging games such as ice-breaking games, treasure hunt, online quizzes, and lip sync battle. These fun games were to promote interactions among the new and current students. The orientation ended with the prize giving ceremony and a dance led by the Performing Arts Club in collaboration with the 28th INTIMA. All the students received a variety of prizes including the consolation prizes. They all went home with good experience and a lot of goodies to enjoy.
