The High Achievers’ Award Ceremony 2023 (HAAC’ 23) was held on 14 April 2023 at INTI International College Penang, to recognize the effort and achievements of students in the year 2022. The event was organized by the LCMPU team, with the assistance of the school program officers. A total of 294 students received awards in three different categories – CAL High Achiever Award, President’s List, and Dean’s List.

The students who received the awards were from various faculties, including the Centre of Excellence for Pre-University Studies, School of Business, School of Engineering, School of Computing and School of Hospitality and Culinary Arts. The students came from different levels of studies: Cambridge A Levels, Certificate, Foundation, and Diploma courses.

Chief Executive of INTI Penang Ms Hemalatha Murugiah in her speech expressed her admiration and pride for the student’s achievements. The Academic Director, Dr Tan Lee Ooi, then gave a short motivational speech, encouraging the students to continue their hard work and dedication towards their studies.

After the speeches, the students were called up one by one to receive their certificates from Ms Hemalatha. The students were filled with joy and excitement as they received their awards. Once the awards had been given, Ms Peh Jia Xian, a Dean’s List award recipient, came out to give a short speech. Ms Peh, who is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Computer Science with INTI Penang, encouraged her peers to continue to work hard and reach for their dreams.

The event ended with a group photography session. Light refreshments were also served, allowing the students to socialize and celebrate their achievements with their peers.

The HAAC 2023 event was a success in recognising and celebrating the students’ hard work and dedication towards their studies. It was a great moment for the students to feel appreciated and motivated to continue striving towards excellence in their academic pursuits.
