April and May 2023 were filled with exciting events that showcased the talents and initiatives of School of Hospitality (SOHOS) students and faculty members. Let’s take a closer look at some of these amazing events!
A successful fundraiser was organised in support of single mothers at RUMAH KITA, with the theme “Rezeki Berkongsi Bersama Raya.” The fundraiser took place from 12th April to 14th April, and the cooking activity involved producing grilled fish and chicken using ingredients sponsored by Eng Sheng International Agri-Food People Company.
Meanwhile, on 5th of May 2023, the Wine Workshop for INTI Subang Deans took place, led by the esteemed Mr. Chris Low, the Chancellor of Saint-Emilion to Malaysia for the Jurade of Saint-Emilion. The workshop covered a range of modules, including the history of wine, Saint-Emilion wines, the classification of Saint-Emilion wines, and a wine tasting session. This event not only provided valuable knowledge for the participants but also highlighted the school’s commitment to offering unique and diverse learning experiences.
In addition to the Wine Workshop and the successful fundraiser, the School of Hospitality at INTI Subang is excited to share that from 16th May to 30th June, the door to Alkira Restaurant will be open to delight guests with its exquisite breakfast and lunch services, available from Tuesday to Friday and reservations could easily be made by contacting the respective numbers for each day. Furthermore, during the same period, the SayaSuka Kiosk, offering a range of coffee, tea, and on-the-go meals, will also be open from Tuesday to Friday. Operating from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, as well as from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, the kiosk not only allows students to refine their service skills but also provides a convenient option for busy INTIans seeking a quick and satisfying bite.
Overall, the events in April and May 2023 demonstrated the school’s commitment to offering a diverse range of learning experiences, fundraising efforts, and hands-on experiences for its students. It was a true celebration of the school’s community and its efforts to make a positive impact on the world.
