INTI International College Penang Career Services successfully hosted the Career Preparation Workshop Leadership Lessons from Local to Global: What it Takes to Build Award-Winning Teams, on 24 May, which attracted almost 90 participants.
The session commenced with a hybrid presentation by Mr. Kim Chin Kuang, an accomplished individual holding the esteemed positions of Division Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Global Business Services (GBS) Finance at Jabil. With a wealth of experience in the business field, Mr. Kim generously shared his inspiring journey, starting from humble beginnings to his current success. His insights and words of wisdom were truly invaluable, serving as a source of motivation and encouragement for all attendees.
During his presentation, Mr. Kim emphasized the importance of earning respect as a leader by showing respect to others. He also highlighted the significance of lifelong learning, cultivating positive attitudes, and embracing a transformative mindset.
One of the key advices he mentioned was, “If you want to be a leader, be a leader that is respected. And if you want respect, you have to respect others.” He also inspired all of us to never stop learning, to develop positive attitudes, as well as change our perspectives.
The Career Preparation Workshop, equipping participants with essential skills and insights needed to excel in their careers. It was a resounding success, setting the stage for future endeavors in empowering students and aspiring leaders on their journeys to success.
